My fiance and I are cutting and re-using 100+ old wine and beer bottles for candle votives. They'll give off light in greens and brown - our wedding colors! We'll recycle all the cut-off tops and encourage recycling at the reception.

We'll use mostly candles and twinkle lights to light our evening reception, reducing the amount of energy used.

We also plan to make home-made candles for guest favors. This will eliminate harmful effects of processing and transportion of pre-made candles.

Hi Kate! We hope to use re-usable shopping bags (stylish, of course) as our welcome bags. Our plan is to keep the idea fresh and unique, but also encourage our guests to use them daily.
